80. Werner graber celebrates his 17th birthday in albertshofen. Relatives, friends, and club members joined in the congratulations. Mayor horst reuther presented the anniversary wine of the municipality to the jubilarian.
Werner graber was born on 15. February 1938 born in rottendorf as the eldest of five children to eleonore and martin graber.
After attending school, he learned the trade of a blacksmith at the scheller company in wurzburg. In 1956, graber joined the german federal railroads, where he became a master craftsman and continued his education until he retired in 1997 as a technical operations inspector.
"As befits a railwayman, i met my wife edeltraut, nee link, in the train station in wurzburg," says the jubilarian with a smile.
Just one year later, on 19. December 1958 the two said yes to each other in the registry office in albertshofen, their church wedding took place in the hospital chapel of the district administration office in kitzingen.
The children karl-heinz and doris completed the family and to the birthday congratulate also the grandchildren laura, melissa and marvin.
Regular gymnastics and swimming keep the jubilarian fit. Daytime bike rides are the order of the day, in winter his alternative is to go for a walk.
As an enthusiastic marksman, the jubilarian has tirelessly mastered competitions for 44 years in the sports marksmen's society, was active for 25 years on the board of directors and still holds the office of treasurer today.
